Dr. Samir Thabet is a Sustainability/ESG/Carbon neutrality strategy advisor with 29 years of experience with a demonstrated history of working in the construction industry. Samir has worked in diverse fields, from equipment manufacturing to electromechanical services design and managing construction megaprojects. He has worn various hats, including those of a contractor, consultant, and project manager, gaining valuable experience in each role. Samir takes pride in being part of project teams that have delivered numerous iconic buildings in the region, including hospitals, high-rise commercial and residential buildings, and oil and gas projects. Recognizing that learning is an ongoing process, Samir committed to continuously enhancing his skills. 2011, he completed the MSc in Business Administration to improve his leadership attributes. In 2021, he obtained a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development and Diplomacy to address the emerging global challenges shaped by climate change, and in June 2023 Samir received an Honorary Doctor of Humanities from the University of Entrepreneurship & Technology (UET) - Delaware USA.
