Zi Abraham, Chartered MCSI, FDP - is an accomplished business consultant with Verrazano Consulting Solutions. He leads Investment Management Systems and ESG Data Integration management consulting at Verrazano Consulting Solutions and has been instrumental in mainstreaming ESG principles and data into Verrazano’s client investment strategies and processes over the past few years.

His professional experience of over 23 years spans management consulting, sustainable investing, capital markets, AI opportunities in asset management, investment banking, mutual funds, life insurance, and retail lending covering financial markets in North America, Europe, and India/Asia. 

For the last 9+ years, he has been based out of Irvine, California, and has been engaged in front office and data transformational programs with one of the world’s largest asset management/ mutual fund company headquartered in Los Angeles. He is passionate about helping clients achieve their business outcomes through realizing untapped value with data. 

Zi is a financial expert involved in ESG and sustainability data integration for Sustainable Finance and Responsible/Impact Investing using considerations such as business involvement screening, controversies & global norms, SDG alignment, governance, ratings, climate change metrics & climate transition risks, and, SFDR PAI & EU Taxonomy. 

Zi is a distinguished Chartered Member (Chartered MCSI) of The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI, UK) and a member of the CISI FinTech Forum Committee.

In 2021, he obtained the respected FDP charter from the FDP Institute by CAIA, honing his skills in AI and big data for asset management and ESG investing. Since then, he has been experimenting with applying artificial intelligence(AI) and data science techniques to enhance ESG research and analysis. He is responsible for ensuring that the ESG data and integration are effective in driving positive change in ESG investing. His work ultimately affects investment returns and the lives of millions of investors globally.

Zi holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University, India, and an MBA from the University of Calicut, India. 

He is a Practitioner Member of The Financial Management Association International (FMA). He is a Direct/International Member of The Association Cambiste Internationale - Financial Markets Association (ACI FMA), The Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM), and, The IT Financial Management Association (ITFMA).

As an acknowledged industry specialist at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), Zi contributes to professional development content in this space as an author and reviewer for professional modules. Zi is a mentor at The CISI Mentoring Scheme. 

Zi is a judge for the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program events at the University of California, Irvine; and also a judge for the New Venture Launch event at the California State University Fullerton (CSUF) Center for Entrepreneurship. 

Zi is a volunteer with the SIFMA Foundation’s - Invest It Forward™ Stock Market Game initiative promoting financial literacy. He volunteers with Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL) Orange County Central Chapter and works for sustainable climate action, activities, and advocacy. He volunteers with the ‘Cool Irvine’ – the city of Irvine’s campaign to reach carbon neutrality, and ‘Cool OC’ – an initiative to build sustainable, resilient, and community-rich blocks in Orange County, CA.
